How to Embed a Loom Video in Squarespace (Step-by-Step Guide)

If you use Loom to communicate with clients, walk through tutorials, or showcase your services, you’re not alone—it’s one of my favorite tools, especially during the revision process of a website build. But did you know you can easily embed a Loom video right into your Squarespace website?

Whether you're a coach explaining a service, a business owner giving a visual walkthrough, or just looking to cut down on email back-and-forth, embedding Loom videos in your site is a super effective way to add that personal touch.

Let’s walk through how to do it in just a few steps.

🎥 What Is Loom (And Why Use It)?

Loom is a screen recording tool that lets you quickly record yourself and your screen, then share the video via link. It’s especially useful for:

  • Client revisions

  • Team updates

  • Product or service tutorials

If you're a client of mine, chances are you’ve seen a Loom video from me walking you through a new update to your site or what I’ve been working on.

📌 How to Embed a Loom Video in Squarespace

Here’s how to embed a Loom video into any Squarespace page:

  1. Copy the Video Link
Head to your Loom dashboard, open the video you want to embed, and copy the link.

  2. Add a New Section in Squarespace

    • Go into edit mode on your site.

    • Create a new blank page or edit an existing one.

    • Add a new section (I chose a black background to match the rest of the layout in this demo).

  3. Insert an Embed Block

    • Click Add Block, then search for Embed.

    • Paste your Loom link in the URL field and click Apply.

    • You’ll see a preview load automatically.

  4. Customize the Layout

    • Resize the video using the grab handles.

    • Center it if you’d like.

    • Add multiple Loom embeds to create a tutorial-style page.

That’s it! Loom and Squarespace play nicely together—it’s really just a matter of copy and paste.

💡 Pro Tip: Use Loom for Service Pages or Internal Training

Loom videos embedded in your site can be a powerful way to:

  • Walk clients through how to use your services

  • Explain how a form or feature works

  • Give your site a more personal, face-to-face feel
